I have a weird analogy for you this month, Waterbearer. Imagine that the screeches and blips in your private life are actually sonar readings reflecting the shape of your future. It’s as if every one of the heated arguments, make-up sessions, and surprise twists in your personal life are pinging off an unknown factor, a shape hidden in the depths of your subconscious.

That shape is the shape of your future. Jupiter is hiding out in your twelfth house at the moment, and he’s carrying all your opportunities, lucky breaks, and plans for expansion. You can’t see him, but you can get a decent bead on his position by carefully watching your interactions with those most intimately related to you—spouses, lovers, business partners, confidantes, etc..

Some of you may also be able to get good spiritual soundings, too, if you have some sort of regular spiritual or religious practice. Here’s the key: it’s really your own beliefs you’re catching glimpses of. Your core beliefs are being tested, and the curriculum will get even tougher starting in September; your future will depend on how well you can come to terms with them, and how readily you can adapt to any necessary changes in the way you think about the world.

Listen carefully this month, Aqua. The cosmic biofeedback doesn’t get any better than this.

sex life

Still highly unpredictable. Over the next year or so, the harder you try to control the form and function of any of your sexual relationships, the quicker they’ll slip through your fingers. You may have already noticed this effect, but up ‘til now, you’ve only experienced the preliminaries; the first two weeks of this month are the real Round One of the “Who’s Going To Control What?” game of a lifetime.

If you’re into this kind of game, it could be really sexy, but there are also money, lifestyle, and security issues on the line. There’s simply no way to separate them, not right now. When issues in your sexual life or shared finances arise, remember that there are strong links between the two, links forged by issues of control and independence.

There’s no way to break the links, but there may be some sort of compromise—your mission, should you choose to accept it, is simply to stay aware. Detachment is crucial, at this point.

public life

Most of the action will take place behind the scenes this month, but there’s a lot of it, even so. Loans, inheritances, joint resources, bank accounts, legal issues, and anything else having to do with the nuts-and-bolts of your public endeavors will take up quite a lot of your time. There will be a few unexpected twists—some of them great, some of them not-so-great. If there’s ever been a period marked by more random, bizarre events, I certainly can’t remember it.

Aquarius in particular should be watchful of the late-month Mercury retrograde period. From September 24 through the last week of October, be very careful with legal paperwork—sign nothing, if you can help it. If it happens to be a revision or amendment on an old deal, fine, but even then, double-check everything. This is an on-your-toes month all around, Aqua, and particularly so with legal and financial details!
