It’s October...hooray! October is one of the Fish’s favorite months, and even the ongoing insanity can’t take that away. The mysteries of life will start to intrigue you again, and you’ll take deep pleasure in getting to the bottom of a few of them. Aren’t mysteries sexy?

Watch out for continuing power struggles, though. Many Pisceans have (advertently or not) taken on the role of Brave Defender of the Ought-to-be-Freakin’-Obvious Truth. It’s quite noble of you, of course, and we’re all very proud—except for the ones who are very pissed off instead—but....

...take it easy. Rome wasn’t burned in a day. There’s more at stake here than you currently realize, and, to be frank, you’re as fuzzy on the Big Picture as anyone else. This month, it’ll be tough to get a straight answer out of anyone, including yourself, so you might as well sit back, relax a bit, and try not to get overexcited.

The Big Picture gets clearer with every passing week, and all without you fighting the good fight every step of the way. Let some of it come to you for a while. Make nice, and take care of business. You have other things to worry about, right? Like planning your annual Halloween party-hop?

Still dealing with old business, I see. The bad news is that most of it’s just talk again this month, but the good news is that...well, at least you won’t have to wash the sheets, eh?

I’m kidding, sort of. You may indeed be subject to further “discussions” with an ex, a partner, or an old flame, but something good could very well come of it eventually. You probably won’t see many overt changes this month—it’s a bad time for ultimatums or final decisions—but it is a good month to talk through a few old issues. You might just learn something, you know, if you’ll stop gabbling on long enough to listen.

And what about the raging libido, you ask? And your astonishing lack of patience? Just do the best you can, and leave the frustration-induced sarcasm at home, please. Take it out on a friend instead.

public life

This is where the real action is. New opportunities, new projects and responsibilities, new ways of viewing your life’s overall direction...exciting, isn’t it? In many ways, all eyes are on you; there’s certainly nothing inconspicuous about you right now, and the admirers are adding up.

It’s still not the best month to be terribly forward, though. There’s no need to back away from your position, but there’s also no need to press any points that are thus far keeping to themselves. Do the job that’s in front of you to the best of your abilities, and leave the rest to itself.

There’ll be lots of seemingly pointless discussion. Talk is cheap—no one is more acutely aware of that fact right now than you, Pisces—but that’s what’s on the agenda for the next few weeks. Adapt and survive; it’ll be different enough soon.
