Romance, pleasure, or playful creativity...last month, Aries was all over it, and the beginning of August looks like more of the same.

It hasn’t all been just-for-the-hell-of-it partying, though. Whatever you’ve been doing has been part of your growth as a human being.

No, really, it's true.

Some part of your pleasure-seeking play has triggered old wounds, old blows to your self-esteem, and old defeats of your self-will. What did you say to those little old voices, whispering from the past?

One way or another, these issues will come to a head in August. The pair of eclipses in your fellow fire sign Leo (read more here) will present you with another fork in the road. Most of your choices have to do with your own behavior—in other words, you’re in control of how, or indeed if, you react—but expect the unexpected, via friends, lovers, and old acquaintances.

Many Arians will face the Ghost of Lovers Past. These encounters could be bittersweet, and while the idea of reconciliation may get tossed around, you both seem to know it’s not to be. You’ve returned to each other’s lives for a short while only, so make the most of it. Forgiveness and healing is the real point, not some painful (and ultimately futile) attempt to relive the past.

Otherwise, there are some great opportunities for Aries this month. By mid-month, the focus will shift sharply from healing your past to chasing your future. Life will become incredibly busy as the month progresses.

All the hard work and planning you’ve put into your job and your daily life will continue to bring opportunities to you; take ‘em! But be aware that they may cause instant friction with others. This is not a sign that the opportunities themselves are flawed or faulty; it’s just that you’ll have to deal with the involvement of others sooner than you expect.

It looks like another busy month, Aries, but that’s okay...with all this excitement, who needs sleep?
